Have you often felt like you’ve wanted to do big things in your life, and in this world, but are blocked from moving forward?
Perhaps it’s a lack of confidence that is stopping you? You may feel ‘not good enough,’ ’not skilled enough,’ ’not pretty enough’… etc. etc.
Perhaps leaving your comfort zone feels scary and frightening?
Maybe moving into new territory feels overwhelming?
If so, then I hear you! And I want to let you know, that these feelings are completely normal when you are growing, expanding and up-levelling yourself… It IS scary! It IS uncomfortable! And that’s why most of us prefer to sit still, and remain in our comfort zone, so that these feelings and emotions can be avoided!
However, what I’ve found on my 7 year growth path and that has very recently hit me in the face (!), is that staying in my comfort zone, remaining stagnant, still, and pretty much boring, is way more uncomfortable than it is to go through the pain associated with personal growth and Soul expansion.
The reason for the above realisation is that recently, I’ve re-aligned forces with my business mentor, and have therefore signed up to wave goodbye to some old bad habits and open up to a new way of operating, being and living!
Fulfilling? Satisfying? Exciting? Thrilling? Powerful? HELL YES!
In this personal growth process, what I’m highly present to is just how important it is to have special tools at hand that can assist us in healing old wounds and removing stagnant blocks.
Sensitive Souls often have a harder time in this growth process due to feeling SO deeply, that the emotional release process can be even MORE painful! However, there are some powerful tools that can also gently support our Sensitive Souls as we remove blocks and move toward power...
Here are 5 amazing tools that I have been using to support myself and also accelerate the ‘block removal’ process:
When it’s time to do something ‘scary’ on your growth path, feeling into the fear and then breathing into it can be very helpful! The more we are present to the ‘feeling’ and the more we breathe INTO it, the more we can open up space around the emotion and use the energy of breath to push it out and release from our bodies.
When you are confronted with an uncomfortable emotion, you can ask yourself: "What is uncomfortable emotion telling me?" "What is the fearful belief associated with this emotion?" For example, it could be "I don’t have enough time to go for my dreams." An affirmation can then be created, which is usually an ‘opposite’ statement to the limiting belief. For instance, it could be turned into "I have PLENTY of time in my day to work toward my dreams.” And although these words may not initially feel like ‘truth,’ the more these affirmations are repeated to yourself, the more ‘real’ it will start to feel as brain start to positively rewire itself.
Dancing is one of my favourite ways to remove emotions. Similar to breathing, we can actually dance into the fear, pain, negative emotion that we are experiencing at that point in time. By feeling the emotion, and dancing it, the observation and movement gives the emotion space and energy to move through your body and eventually release itself from your energy system.
4. Journal Writing
Journal writing is perfect for getting our negative thoughts out of our heads, and onto paper. Not only is stressful energy transferred out of your system and onto the paper, but it also allows us to look at what we’ve written from an observer’s perspective. From this place we can detach from our thoughts and emotions and then find solutions from a place of peace, rather than a place of fear.
5. EFT/Tapping and ESR
EFT tapping and ESR are my very favourite modalities for quickly and efficiently removing emotional blocks from the body. Both modalities work with energy meridians and by tapping on them (EFT) or pressing on them (ESR) we can open the energetic gateway, and allow space for emotional energy to release from our system, and regain balance.
