Hi gorgeous Souls,
This week I was going to share about the healing aspects of nature, however my intuition has kicked in and guided me to talk about NEGATIVE thoughts and feelings and how to understand them, understand ourselves, and how to deal with them when they present themselves.
I would like to start off by acknowledging the fact, that by having the Sensitivity personality trait, we are also very likely (but not always) to be 'Intuitive Empaths'.
What is an Intuitive Empath you may ask?
Being an Intuitive Empath means that you are able to pick up on what other people are thinking and feeling.
I regard this as having intuitive gifts, while others may say that you have the following psychic abilities:
1. Clairsentience: the ability to feel what others are feeling or;
2. Clairaudience: the ability to hear what other people are thinking.
Whichever way you'd like to look at it, being Sensitive means that we are more highly attuned EVERYTHING! And because everything is ENERGY, we are more likely to pick up on subtle energies in our environment, and the vibration and frequencies they transmit.
Thoughts and feelings are ENERGY.
When we are in close proximity to people who are having a particularly strong experience in terms of their inner dialogue or emotional reaction, we, as Sensitive beings, are likely to tune in to what's going on... and in many cases, think that these thoughts and feelings are actually ours!!
This can make life quite difficult for us Sensitive Souls where it can be a constant challenge to discern what thoughts and feelings are actually ours, and which ones belong to someone else!
On top of this, and unfortunately, negative thoughts and feeling tend to have a higher energetic 'charge' to them, and therefore, us Sensitives are more likely to pick up on these aspects rather than those that are positive in nature.
Moreover, because we are Empaths, we are likely to ABSORB this energy into our being, and then it DOES become ours...
And this can really SUCK! In so many ways!
(eg. causing issues such as mood-swings, irritability, depression, anxiety & physical illness).
Therefore, as a mentor to Sensitive Souls, and an energy-healing practitioner, I cannot stress enough the importance of self-care, especially morning rituals which include positive affirmations and core-energy building exercises.
Positive affirmations create a positive mind-set and lift the vibration of mental functioning as well as protect your mental energy field from unwanted interference.
When you are vibrating at a high frequency, it is less-likely that negative thoughts will be attracted to you as they are vibrating at a lower frequency. And therefore, the concept of ‘like-attracts-like’ is no longer relevant (except that you'll attract positive energy in... which is awesome!).
Energy-building exercises promote energetic, inner-strength and inner-power, and can ground you & protect you from lower frequency energies, as once again, this energy is of a high vibration and can actually build a strong, protective, energetic wall around you.
